Who created the wooden statue in Tulum?
The wooden statue or as some know it, “La estatua madre naturaleza” It was created in 2018 by a South African artist named Daniel Popper. It was created for the festival celebrated on the beaches of the Hotel Ahau and stayed permanently at the entrance of the hotel. Today it is a monument located on the public highway that helps to attract tourists and to take a photo is FREE!.
With its 10 meter height and its representation of nature and the human being, it has become one of the most requested tourist centers. The exact number of visits is not yet known, but daily, it has great visits.
Llegar a la Estatua de Tulum
